CAMPMAIL

Text Messaging (SMS & WhatsApp) Terms & Consent

Last updated: June 16, 2026

The program

CAMPMAIL (“we,” “us”) helps parents write and send daily letters to their child at summer camp. As an optional convenience, parents can choose to receive a daily check-in by text message (SMS) or WhatsApp. The texts let a parent start a letter, share quick updates from home, review the draft, and approve it — all by replying to the message.

How you opt in

Text messages are never sent unless a parent turns them on. To opt in, a parent must first create a CAMPMAIL account, then on their dashboard enter their mobile number, choose SMS or WhatsApp and a preferred time, and check the consent box and save. The opt-in screen shows the following:

Consent is collected only from the account holder for their own number, and is not shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Message types & frequency

Messages are conversational and tied to your daily check-in: a prompt asking if you'd like to write a letter, follow-ups to collect updates from home, the letter draft for your review, and confirmations. Typical frequency is about one check-in per day, plus your back-and-forth replies. You control the time of day and can pause anytime.

Cost

CAMPMAIL does not charge for the text messages themselves. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

How to opt out or get help

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe; you will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also turn off the daily check-in anytime from your dashboard.

Privacy

Your mobile number is used only to deliver these messages and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing. We use a messaging provider (Twilio) to deliver texts. See our Privacy Policy for details.
